About Family Deal Scanner

What this is

Family Deal Scanner is a free UK website for parents. Enter your postcode and we show the places for children and families within ten miles — farms, soft play, museums, parks, leisure centres, castles — along with the offers and events each one is currently advertising. It is run independently from Worcestershire, which is where we have started: see our town guides.

How we find things

We start from public business listings to find family venues near you, then read each venue's own website for current offers, events and announcements. For the towns we cover, every venue is re-checked weekly, and anything that has expired is removed automatically. We sort what we find so that a genuine limited-time offer is labelled differently from a venue's normal book-online price, and we don't show adults-only items.

This is done automatically, so it can occasionally be out of date or misread. Always confirm with the venue before you travel or book. If you run a listed venue and want something corrected or removed, email us and we'll sort it.

How the site is funded

The site is free to use, and we don't sell your data or show banner adverts. Some "Book tickets" links are affiliate links, always labelled where they appear: if you book through one, the ticket seller may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. We work with sellers through the Awin and Partnerize affiliate networks.

Commission never decides what we show. Venues are listed whether or not they have an affiliate link, lists are ordered by distance or by the offers we found, and every venue also has a plain link to its own official website. We don't publish voucher codes or run cashback schemes. More detail is in our Terms and Privacy Policy.

The weekend round-up

If you register and tick the box, we email you on Friday evenings with what's new near you for the weekend — one email a week at most, never shared with anyone, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
